Welcome to Ms. Sam’s Tutoring and Occupational Therapy Services.

I am so excited to finally ‘hang my shingle’ and ‘SHINE’ my own way, after 20 years as a Pediatric OT. My Mom has always said that, “You can’t be an expert in everything, so you have to find the person that can help you. Everyone has a gift – find Yours.”

I love to help children be their best and watch tears and frustration transform into smiles, laughter and success. I yearn to hear stories from grateful parents and caregivers of the beautiful memories of happy little steps of accomplishment that their children are making – even years later.

I became an OT after losing my voice and learning what it was to be a person with a disability. I searched for my voice everywhere and with the help of many doctors and specialists, I was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder, Spasmodic Dysphonia. I received botox injections and slowly, my voice returned. Then I went back to school and earned my Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University, so that I could help others, as the doctors had helped me. Now my voice has never been stronger and that is why I have created Ms. Sam’s Tutoring Services.

I have been further blessed that my Mom, Muriel F. Holland, a Speech and Language Therapist for 30 years and my sister Abby Belasco, a Board Certified Teacher, and owner of DearAbby Tutors, LLC, continue to help me. We advise each other when we have questions and need clarification.

It has become our mission, as sisters to all caregivers, to assist kids and their parents to get the help that they need to succeed in life. This comprehensive approach clarifies the bigger picture for me, to ask more questions and get better results… and it works!

Thank you for joining me on my journey and putting the Fun in Function and the Special back into Education.

All My Best,

Ms. Sam
